SPECIFICATION

Product specification: 100g/bottle
Shelf life: three years

Purpose: Used for the determination of Escherichia coli in drinking water and its source water using membrane filtration method.

Composition (g/L):
Peptone 5.0
Beef Soaked Noodles 3.0
Agar 15.0
MUG 0.1
PH value 6.8 ± 0.2 25 ℃

Inspection principle:
Peptone and beef extract powder provide nitrogen sources, vitamins, amino acids, and carbon sources; Agar is a coagulant for the culture medium; The glucuronidase contained in Escherichia coli acts on 4-methylumbelliferone- β- D-glucuronide- β- D-Glucuronide (MUG) β The glucuronic acid glycosidic bond is hydrolyzed, and the released 4-methylumbelliferone produces blue-white fluorescence under a 366nm ultraviolet lamp. 97% of Escherichia coli, 10% of Salmonella, and a small amount of Shigella have glucuronidase activity.

Usage:
Weigh 23.1g of this product, heat and stir to dissolve in 1000ml of distilled water, sterilize under high pressure at 121 ℃ for 15 minutes, and set aside. The poured flat plate can be stored for two weeks at 4 ℃.
Microbial sensitivity test on NA-MUG medium (100g):
Prepare the culture medium according to the label usage, inoculate the following quality control strains, and incubate them aerobic at 36 ± 1 ℃ for 24-48 hours.
Note: When calculating the recovery rate, TSA agar is used as the control medium.
