Pharmaceutical inductry Sterile material containment transfer ab valve
The αβ valve (split butterfly valve) provides fully enclosed containment space for transferring sterile or high-hazard materials. It supports CIP/SIP, features metal-to-metal disc sealing and multi-lock anti-misoperation design. Constructed of 316L stainless steel with FDA-compliant FKM seals, it meets GMP, FDA and EU standards. Suitable for pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, food and high-containment processes with standard and custom sizes available.
The split butterfly valve, also named αβ valve or ab valve, adopts containment transfer technology to form a complete closed isolation space. It is ideal for containment transfer of sterile or high-risk materials.
This αβ valve supports Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Sterilization-in-Place (SIP). After material transfer, the active valve and passive valve return to the coupled state. A sealed cavity forms between the two halves. Clean or sterilizing media can be injected into this cavity for cleaning and sterilization, then the active and passive valves can be fully separated safely.
