Poly(A) Polymerase

This enzyme is template independent and can catalyze the sequential incorporation of ATP into the 3 'end of RNA in the form of AMP, i.e., the addition of polyadenosine tails at the 3' end of RNA. The Poly (A) structure can improve the stability of RNA and improve the translation efficiency of mRNA in eukaryotic cells. Poly (A) polymerase has a high tailing efficiency, capable of adding 2200 A bases to the RNA 3 'end.
