SPECIFICATION

Purpose: Used for the determination of total bacterial count in cosmetics.

Composition (g/L)
Peptone 20.0
Beef Soaked Noodles 3.0
Sodium chloride 5.0
Lecithin 1.0
Tween 80 7.0
Agar 15.0

Verification principle
Peptone and beef extract provide carbon and nitrogen sources, vitamins, and growth factors; Sodium chloride maintains a balanced osmotic pressure; Lecithin and Tween 80 can neutralize preservatives and disperse substances in emulsions. Lecithin can neutralize quaternary ammonium salts, Tween 80 can neutralize phenols, hexachlorophenols, and formalin, and the combination of the two can neutralize ethanol; Agar is a coagulant for the culture medium; Most bacteria can reduce TTC to form easily recognizable red colonies, and TTC can also slow down the spread and growth of certain bacteria.

Usage
Weigh 51.0g of this product, heat and dissolve it in 1000ml of distilled water, pack 200ml of each bottle, sterilize under high pressure at 121 ℃ for 15 minutes, and when cooled to 50-55 ℃, add 2ml of sterilized 0.5% TTC solution, mix well, and set aside.
0.5% TTC solution preparation: Weigh 0.25g of TTC and dissolve it in 50ml of distilled water, sterilize it under high pressure at 121 ℃ for 15 minutes, place it in a brown bottle, and store it at 2-8 ℃.

TTC Lecithin Tween 80 Nutrient Agar Microbial Sensitivity Test:
Prepare the culture medium according to the label usage, inoculate the following quality control strains, and incubate them aerobic at 36 ± 1 ℃ for 48 ± 2 hours.
